Majestic Meridian Platinum 42" Direct Vent Gas Fireplace
The Meridian Platinum 42 brings a wide, traditional flame view together with the comfort features that distinguish Platinum from the standard Meridian: higher heat output, illuminated embers and accent lighting, an included variable-speed fan, and an included RC400 touchscreen remote.
Choose the natural-gas MER42PN or propane MER42PL model. Both use Majestic's IntelliFire Touch ignition system and a top or rear direct-vent configuration. To complete the fireplace, order one compatible decorative front and one interior liner kit separately.
Platinum Features
Generous Flame View
Ceramic glass opens the view to a 41-1/4" wide by 26-11/16" high viewing area, six ceramic fiber logs, and an LED-illuminated ember bed.
Comfort Built In
A GFK-160 variable-speed fan helps move warmth into the room. Natural-gas input ranges from 23,000 to 45,000 BTU/hr; propane input ranges from 23,000 to 44,000 BTU/hr.
Touchscreen Control
The included RC400 remote manages flame height, fan speed, accent lights, thermostat functions, and more. IntelliFire Touch ignition includes battery backup for fireplace operation during a power outage.
Two Selections Are Required
Choose one approved 42" decorative front and one compatible interior liner kit. Both are sold separately from the fireplace. The front supplies the required protective barrier; do not operate the fireplace without it.

Standard Platinum Equipment
Fireplace and Logs
Meridian Platinum 42" fireplace, ceramic glass, six ceramic fiber logs, and IntelliFire Touch ignition with battery backup.
Light and Heat
LED-illuminated embers, LED accent lighting, and the GFK-160 variable-speed fan are included. Accent lighting is not used with the black glass liner option.
RC400 Remote
The RC400 touchscreen remote is included for control of the compatible flame, fan, lighting, and thermostat functions.
Ordered separately: one required decorative front, one required liner kit, and the approved venting and installation components for your project. A Wi-Fi module is optional, not included with the base fireplace.

Optional Accessories
Heat Management
Passive Heat front or side trim kits, Heat Out, and Heat-Zone systems offer different ways to redirect warmth. These require their own compatible components and installation plans.
App Control
Add the IntelliFire Wi-Fi module (IFT-WFM) for compatible smartphone and smart-speaker control. The RC400 remote itself is already included.
Wall Switch
An optional battery-backup wall switch kit (BATTERY-WSK) offers a separate wall-mounted control point.
The accessory sheet also lists fan kits for other configurations. A GFK-160 fan is already included with the Meridian Platinum 42, so do not add a second fan unless your installer identifies a specific need.

Do the lights work with every liner?

Can I control the fireplace from my phone?
The RC400 remote is included. Smartphone and compatible smart-speaker control require the optional IntelliFire Wi-Fi module and app.
Can a TV go above the fireplace?
Optional heat-management systems can lower temperatures in the wall area above the fireplace. TV placement still depends on the selected system, installation details, and the TV manufacturer's temperature limits; have your installer confirm the plan.
Who should install the Meridian Platinum 42?
A qualified gas-appliance professional should install and service the fireplace using the Majestic installation manual and applicable local codes.
