20+ years in the fireplace industry
Hi, I'm Branndon Knox.
I own and operate FireWerks, an online store for fireplaces, stoves, grills, and outdoor living products. Although you may first meet FireWerks through a website, there is a real person behind it. I have spent more than 20 years learning this industry from the showroom floor, the sales office, the manufacturer side, and the business-owner side.
What has stayed consistent is my interest in helping people understand what they are buying. Fireplaces are not one-size-fits-all products. The model, fuel type, venting, finish, and required components all matter, and I believe customers deserve clear answers before they make a decision.
How I Got Here
Retail and Showrooms
Early in my career, I worked in estimating, purchasing, sales, and showroom management. At Fireplace Warehouse, I helped customers and contractors navigate products and projects, then later worked with Embers Fireplaces & Outdoor Living and managed Black Hills Fireplace in Rapid City.
Manufacturer Perspective
As a representative for Regency Fireplace Products, I worked with retailers across Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, and South Dakota. That experience gave me a different view of how products are designed, sold, and supported.
FireWerks
I started FireWerks in 2021 to bring that experience to an online store. My goal is to offer the selection of eCommerce without losing the informed, personal conversation that matters with a specialty product.
A Family Connection to the Hearth
Fireplaces are part of my family story, too. My dad and my brothers-in-law each have their own fireplace companies: Bob at Flatirons Fire, Felix at MOD Living Spaces, and Trevor at Embers Living. Their businesses are separate from FireWerks, but we share a connection to the same trade and the people who work in it. For me, this is more than a product category; it has been part of my working life and my family life for years.
I grew up in Arvada, Colorado, and have lived in Rapid City, South Dakota, since 2019. FireWerks is the business I run, and I am proud to put my own name behind it.

Involved in the Industry
I joined the Rocky Mountain Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association in 2015, attended the HPBA Government Affairs Academy, and serve on the association's board of directors. Staying connected to other retailers, manufacturers, and industry leaders helps me keep learning and contribute to the trade that built my career.
